Proof of HODL is a consensus mechanism that rewards long-term hodlers for their commitment and validation power on Mezo. The HODL Score accrues based on the value of locked deposits and the lock-up duration, with a multiplier applied to longer lock-up periods. Base Score: 1,000 points per Bitcoin locked per day.

Invite Bonus
Invite your friends to Mezo and earn a bonus based on their HODL Scores. Direct Invites = Children. Your Children's Invites = Grandchildren.
HODL Scores are boosted through invites for your children and grandchildren.
Invitees: Earn a 21% bonus from your children's daily scores and a 9% bonus from your grandchildren's daily scores.
Mezo will use Proof of HODL as a consensus mechanism. Users will be able to secure the network by locking BTC and MEZO tokens and validating transactions via CometBFT consensus. The longer you lock up your deposits, the higher your HODL score. Proof of HODL also connects you with a community of fellow long-term Bitcoin holders.
Your HODL score is determined by the value, timing, and lock-up duration of your BTC, tBTC, or wBTC deposits to the Mezo Portal. Longer lock-up periods result in higher multipliers for your score.
